Robert Wix is a volunteer who gives his time freely to promote kendo in the Nottingham area. He is insured through the British Kendo Association, has First Aid certification, Sports Coach UK safeguarding training, is a Level  2 Coach and active DBS as a professional educator. Robert has spent over a year training in Japan (across many annual visits), and is a member of Koubukan Dojo in Tokyo where he practices Koryu (old school swordsmanship) under the supervision of Ozawa Sensei. Robert also travels regularly to Europe for kendo events with strong links to Prague and Budapest in particular. Robert is a member of Kenyukan Dojo and practices iaido under Martin Clark Sensei.
